So the backstory to this batch of memes is that I did an experiment where I was trying to force drones to drift so I could figure out which colony they would choose to drift into. I gathered 80 drones, marked them, set them in a field 20 yards away from a bunch of colony options, and watched nearly all of them die in the grass rather than fly into any of the colonies.
In reality, the experiment does suggest some neat stuff about drone drift, and will be useful in designing future experiments. But at the time it mostly just felt frustrating so I made some silly little memes about it.
